The use of adrenalectomy is an effective treatment for chronic hypercorticism. However, the use of such drugs is not free of side effects and sometimes the patients who have been submitted to the surgical treatment present serious complications, with the appearance of hyperkalemia and hypertension. The objective of this study was to compare the effects of different mineralocorticoid receptor antagonists in order to minimize the side effects of adrenalectomy. In order to evaluate the comparative effects of four mineralocorticoid receptor antagonists in the kidney and uterus of adult female rats with subclinical hypercorticism induced by a single injection of adrenocorticotrophic hormone (ACTH) we evaluated the expression of oxidative stress markers and DNA damage. The effects of these drugs were evaluated through the analysis of molecular markers such as superoxide dismutase, catalase, glutathione peroxidase, glutathione reductase, glutathione transferase, thioredoxin, thioredoxin reductase, nuclear factor erythroid 2-related factor 2 (Nrf2), p53, and C-reactive protein. The results showed that the treatment with four different mineralocorticoid receptor antagonists minimized the increase in oxidative stress and DNA damage in the kidneys and the uterus. Therefore, the results show the comparative protective effects of four mineralocorticoid receptor antagonists in the endocrine organs in the model of subclinical hypercorticism. its far-reaching effects.
This is not to say that the unrestrained market is evil; far from it. Free market economies have lifted hundreds of millions of people from poverty, and lower the inequality gap between rich and poor. What these economies lack is the rule of law. Unlike the rich nations where all laws are written by elected representatives and voted on by the people, those that 0b46394aab
